The Divine Voyage

The lotus is rooted in deep mud and its stem grows through murky water. But the blossom rises above the muck and opens in the sun, beautiful and fragrant. In Buddhism, the Lotus represents the true nature of beings, which rise through samsara into the beauty and clarity of enlightenment.

Since my youth, I’ve been most impressed by works of art that contain more than beautiful depictions or themes. It’s the narrative the piece evokes that captivates me. It’s not simply beauty one seeks in art, but the medium through which our minds can create a fascinating tale. I seek to ignite the imagination in my own work and create an environment for the viewer to lose themselves in their own story
